I went to visit one log house company in Pattanakan Road but it was not interesting. I decided I should go and visit an old friend of mine who is the biggest timber merchant in this region, Mr. Sunthorn Rasamireugseth (สุนทร รัศมีกฤษเศรษฐ์) or Mr. Hook (เสี่ยฮุก). I had a long talk and he invited us to have lunch with him. When I arrived he was talking with another group who were talking with him about exporting timber to Dubai, UAE.
Every time I have been to visit him I ask to see his Thai style timber house. It is one of the most beautiful Thai timber houses that you will ever see. You feel like you have walked back into history as you climb the teak-wood steps to the traditional landing of the ancient designed residence. The craftsmen of those long ago years were superb and did their work with infinite patience.
When I arrive back at the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence, Mr. Bhanu Patpairin (ภานะ พัทธ์ไพรินทร์), a Thammasart University Law graduate, who now owns a shipping company, was waiting to see me about shipping the palm oil to the Kyrgyza Republic for my friend, Mr. Alexander Nikolayevich Kurianchikov.
Later, with a Muslim man, who is a very close friend, Mr. Rofig Ute (รอฟิก ยูเต๊ะ), we went looking at thousands of big fish ponds in Samut Prakan Province. I never knew there were so many thousands of fish ponds in this area. It is one of the biggest businesses in the surrounding area where our Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence is located. Where we stay is a unique place because it is the junction of three provinces. Bangkok, Chachoengsao, Samut Prakan.
I went to see Mr. Rofigs house and his community near our Residence. It is hard to believe that this large Muslim community has no government water, they have to pump water from the dirty canal for washing, drinking and cooking, There is no proper road. They have to use a boat to cross the canal so they can get to a road. It has been very difficult for them all these years, especially for the sick. If these things had happened a long time ago we could understand it but this is 2008 and it is the border of Bangkok Province so how can it be like this.
I retumed to continue training with the TRADOS software but suddenly Ms. Warisara Kasemsri (วริศรา เกษมศรี) rang and told me that I have to write four columns for the Thai Rath daily Newspaper. I felt so nervous and ran to my working room to write columns for the second and third of April. Maybe you will notice that those columns have an appearance of being rushed.
It was about midnight that I finished the columns and I spent another two hours with TRADOS software training.
It was after 2am that I was able to get some sleep. This is the second night in a row that this has happened to me.

Ms. Warisara Kasemsri (วริศรา เกษมศรี) and I went to Central Sofitel Hotel in Lad Plao Road for her to study her TOEFL course.
I went to buy some books and then came back to welcome one of my close friends, Mr. Alexander Nikolayevich Kurianchikov, who has been in Thailand for the past three months. He and his family were going to return to the Kyrgyz Republic. They left the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence at three.
I have stayed with Mr. Alexander in Bishkek, the capital city of the Kyrgyz Republic, quite a few times. Many years ago Mr. Alexander took me to all over the country. I would like to say that Kyrgyz Republic is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Very high mountains and in winter there is snow everywhere. When spring and summer comes, the snow melts so there is fresh clear water in all the brooks and creeks and rivers. They have been able to make many big dams for hydro-electricity with out damaging the eco-system.
Mr. Alexander has big scrap metal factories, not only in Bishkek, but he has this kind of business in Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
One time Mr. Alexander took me across a high range of mountains to Osh (Kyrgyz:Ow) it is the second largest city in the Kyrgyz Republic located in the Fergana Valley in the south of the country and often referred to as the capital of the south, the border between the Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan, it was memorable. I stayed with Mr. Alexanders friend who is one of the wealthiest in Osh city.
He has his own place for relaxing; it is like a big hotel. There are many rooms.
There are two big ponds is the building. One is hot water and the other is hot water and the other is cold water. The owner of the place has to throw his guests into the clod water first and then into the water this is the custom there. He has to take a big branch of wood and hit the guest. The guest must cry very loud ouch ouch ouch or something like that.
Young Uzbekistani, Tajikistani, Chinese, Kyrgyzstani, and Russian women of about eighteen, nineteen or twenty years of age, come to welcome guests. The guests drink Vodka all night. I was too drunk so I cant remember a lot of things but I do remember being thrown into the clod and hot water and being hit by the branch and following the tradition of shouting, ouch, ouch, ouch or something like that.
In the morning I got up in a very beautiful place. They put me in one of the most expensive houses in the city. This is a wonderful memory even until this day. At a future date I was able to welcome that same man to Thailand and give him hospitality, but not at the same level as he showed me.
Mr. Alexander is a very kind man, sincere and every time he sees me he tries to stop me from being in politics and follow business. He has given me many chances of being rich but my mind is more interested in politics. Many friends around the world, the same as Mr. Alexander, advise me to go to business because I have a lot of connections that are not helpful for politics but very helpful for business.
This time again, Mr. Alexander, wants me to go into business. I know that is going to come to come to stay with us in Bangkok and I will send him to study Business Administration at Assumption University. I will be his guardian whilst he is here. I want him to be one of the most successful businessmen in Central Asia, this is my dream.
Mr. Piyatat Patumraat, Mr. Pongpak Satamparat (พงศ์ภัค สตัมภรัตน์) of Genius Megasofts Enterprises (GME) were waiting to teach me the program TRADOS. This is a software that has intelligent memory for use in translation of documents.
Whilst I was talking with the GME people I had a surprise visit from another old friend, Mr. Mora Domrongcheap (โมรา ดำรงชีพ), who used to be the chairman of the Chanthaburian Legislative Assembly (ประธานสภาจังหวัดจันทบุรี), he later became my Personal Assistant, and before he left for another fob he was responsible for the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence. I helped him get his daughter to be study at Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) School, Bangkok, Thailand. And now she is studying at Kasetsart University and I also helped his son to study Law at Assumption University, Mr. Mora comes from time to time to visit with me.
Today there was a Russian friend, Mr. Grant Babinyan, Executive Director of Farang RU, who has sent me a fax that he was arriving today but actually the fax was blank so I didnt know what the message was. When he called me he said that he had a Russian friend with him so I asked Mr. Grant to bring his Russian friend with him to the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence.
In the evening we had a long talk in the gazebo, three Russians and me Mr. Evgeny Borisovich Belenky, Mr. Grant Babinyan any my new Russian friend. Our discussion was about Mr. Viktor Bout and for making a Balance Group web site in Russian.
At a country restaurant, by the river, near the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence I had a reunion with Mr. Evgeny Borisovich Belenky and Ms. Sengdara Khamvanevongsa (แสงดารา คำวานวงสา), a Laotian Ministers daughter, who married Mr. Evgeny Borisovich Belenky. We were joined by Ms. Warisra Kasemsri (วริศรา เกษมศรี), Mr. Grant Babinyan and my new Russian friend. We had a late dinner and a good talk until 2am in the morning. We paid extra to the waitress to look after us until we had finished.
The waitress is interesting because she came and poured out her lifes story to us. She said she was forty-one years old, and has a husband about twenty-for years old. She boasted that he loves her very much. He looks after her children and in the morning just asks for a little money so he can go out. We all laughed as we listened to her story. It was good fun and a good memory for us all.

9am I welcomed three men from the Genius Megasofts Enterprises (GME) and Genius Megasofts Corporation (GMC), at the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence.
Mr. Piyatat Patumraat (พีระพงษ์ ปทุมราษฎร์), Mr. Pongpak Satamparat, Mr. Atchariya Darote and one of their personal friends, Dr. Watcharapong Petkrai D.V.M (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine), who came along to be with them for the meeting. GME is the marketing company for Genius Megasofts Corporation (GMC) that has written the program for the dictionary called MegaDict.
MegaDict is a very user friendly English/Thai; English/English talking dictionary that uses pop up windows to translate when you pass the curser on any word. They have nearly completed quality control testing for the Medical Dictionary that has over 800,000 medical words translated and are in the final stages of having Modern Chinese/English and English/English dictionary ready for the market place.

Today they showed me about another product that has been developed in lreland that is a great help to whoever is in the translating/interpreting business or needs documents/books/magazines to be translated.
That meeting went from 9am to 4pm nonstop with 2 meals served during the discussions.
4.30pm I welcomed Mr.Suwach Lilapantisit (สุวัช ลิลาพันธิสิทธิ), of Thepthong Narumit Company Limited (บริษัท เทพทองนฤมิต จำกัด), and his wife, Mrs. Kanchana Petcharamanee (กาญจนา เพชรมณี (หนิง)) accompanied by Mr. Susama Chiemsavadhi (ศุษม เจียมสวัสดิ์ (ตั้ว)), of Jorvika Architect and Interior discussion was about the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence renovations and the new structures that will be built in the coming weeks. They left at about 6.30pm.
I was able to write my columns in the evening after dinner and then review all the information that was swimming in my head from todays discussions.

8am I worked on the development of the new companies that I am forming to upgrade and expand the Balance Group
Balance Group began on 9th January 1982. The first ten years was only concerned with tutoring but in 2003 we let other people become involved for 3 months but it caused a lot of problems so we decided to stop expanding. Now it is time to move on again.

The Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence is in need of a face lift so I spent a lot of time consulting with the foreman of the renovating team on choosing the colours of the paint for the outside and the inside of the three houses. We will also renovate the gazebo. We will also make a small canteen area outside in the garden so we can all eat together, those of us who live here and our many guests.
1pm I welcomed Police Major Akarawut Limrat (อัครวุฒิ์ หลัมรัตน์) , an officer from the Special Crime Division, who came to the resident to ask help for his niece, Ms Chomchanok Limrat (ชมชนก หลิมรัตน์), for entrance to Srinakharinwirot Demonstration School, Patumwan campus. It seems that the school wants to welcome his niece but they needed a five page hand written recommendation from me.
The first page was about my personal data and why I want this student to study at this school.
The second page asks if the person giving the recommendation has done anything good for society and the nation and has photos or evidence to prove it.
The third page is about what I do for the people who work for me in my companies/organization with supporting photos or evidence.
The fourth page asks about whether I did I do anything beneficial for the schools, society or the nation when I was in primary school and high school.
The fifth page asks about when I was a student in the universities I studied at, whether I did anything beneficial for the universities, society or the nation.
The reason why I want Ms.Chomchanok Limrat (ชมชนก หลิมรัตน์) to study at this school is because this school has produced many great scholars who have served the country. I want Ms. Chomchanok Limrat (ชมชนก หลิมรัตน์) to graduate from one of the best high schools in Thiland. There are also three members of her family already involved with this school; one has graduated and two are still there.
For the second page I wrote that I have travelled to more than sixty-six countries to obtain knowledge and information to give to Thai people. I have given information through speeches, through radio programs, (FM96.5mhz) through Thai Rath Daily Newspaper (หนังสือพิมพ์ไทยรัฐ) and through the internet.
I have been to talk to many authorities in other countries around the world about Thailand. For example, the President of Uganda and opened the Thailand Distribution Center. I went to talk to the Cuban Deputy Commerce Minister because they had not rice from Thailand for some years. He opened the doors again to buy Thai rice. I am the Vice President of Thai Gem and Jewelry Manufacturers Association and I used to be the Chairman of the subcommittee solving the problems of gem manufacturers and trade in the parliament. I used to be the chairman of the Thai Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and solved rice export problems to Nigeria. Nigeria is the largest importer of Thai rice more than one million tones a year and has done so for over ten years.
On the third page, as the Director of the Institute of Asian and African Studies at Assumption University (สถาบันเอเชียและแอฟริกาศึกษาแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยอัสสัมชัญ), I have created many courses for youth to get acquainted with the international world. Once I took thirty two high school students (junior and senior high) by coach from Thailand to Laos to Vietnam, We stopped to study at Vihn University in central Vietnam. This enabled the students to study-culture, traditions, languages and they could accept the diversity of ethnic groups.
For the last page I wrote I wrote that whilst I was studying in junior and senior High School in Thailand and Australia I was, at one time, captain of the green team for school athletics. When I was studying in High School in Australia I spoke in Rotary Clubs in many towns and cities, such as, the Rotary Club of St. Arnaud, the Rotary Club of Bendigo, the Rotary Club of Horsham etc. and I demonstrated Thai culture to schools such as Spring Gully Primary School Bendigo where I showed them Thai boxing and bamboo-sword fighting (called Ram krabi krabong (รำกระบี่กระบอง) in Thai)
I talked to Police Major Akarawut Limrat (อัครวุฒิ์ หลิมรัตน์) about Viktor Bout, the Merchant of Death, because I had written about Viktor Bout in my column.
Police Major Akarawut Limrat and his team arrested five people on the 6th March 2008. The first one was Viktor Bout, the second one was a British national you will find this hard to believe, but that man, in Viktor Bouts room, was arrested in New York by the American CIA a few days later.
The CIA and the Thai Special Crime Division Police said that this British national escaped to New Your can you believe that? Why would he go to New York? If you were him and you had escaped dont you think you would go somewhere they couldnt catch you? How did he get through the Immigration back into the USA? No, there is something fishy about this story!
The other three men, after 5 hours in handcuffs and not allowed to communicate with the Russian Embassy, were released but warned not to say anything to anybody or they would be killed. They went to Malaysia and back to Russia where one of them gave an interview live on Russia Today. I saw it myself on TV as we have Thaicom 4 satellite link at the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence which carries that channel.
It was embarrassing to hear that man speak of how, when he wanted to go and urinate that the police wouldnt take off his handcuffs and mocked him by asking if he wanted one of them to hold his penis for him I felt ashamed that an innocent till proven guilty businessman from another country should be treated like this in my country.
Some people who have read my articles in the Thai Rath Daily Newspaper (หนังสือพิมพ์ไทยรัฐ) have rung me, sent emails to support my column in writing the truth about this situation. They want to make the situation between Thailand and Russia improve, particularly those in the tourist business as they stand to lose the most.
When I asked Police Major Akarawut about how this could happen he just smiled and said, Pi,(big brother) you hold the title of Police Captain and you know how these things happen. It was the CIA guys who were doing everything.
I made a call to Police Major General Pongpat Chayapan (พงศ์พัฒน์ ฉายาพันธุ์), the commander of the SCD (Special Crime Division) and had a good talk to him. He laughed and said nothing except, how are you, younger brother? When I apologized for writhing the truth of Viktor Bout in my columns for the past five days, he laughed again and he said, everybody reads it. I love the way you write.
My mother was murdered on 28th August 1999. Within a year we arrested the murderers. One was a driver (this was actually just a cover for his activities to kill off people) of a member of parliament for Chanthaburi who has the same surname and is a cousin of the leader of the oldest political party in Thailand. There was something mysteriously wrong in the prosecution case and these murderers were let go. In 2004 Police Major General Pongpat Chayapan (พงศ์พัฒน์ ฉายาพันธุ์) was a Police Colonel, not in a very important position, asked me to see him in a Vietnamese restaurant in Central Sofitel Lad Prao and asked if it was possible for me collect the evidence needed that would bring my mothers murderers to justice.
He felt compassion towards me that the murderers were free men. After that we have always had a good relationship. He is one of the nicest people I know and a man of integrity for justice for all Thai.
This is a lucky thing for Thailand which has always had good officers to be the head of the special Crime Division I have two other big brothers who used to hold the same position in the SCD before Major General Pongpat Chayapan (พงศ์พัฒน์ ฉายาพันธุ์). They are also men of integrity. One is Police Major General Vinai Tongsong (วินัย ทองสอง) and the other is Police Major General Kosin Hintoa (โกสินทร์ หินเธาว์). We were in batch 11 at the National Academy of Criminal Justice, Judicail Training Institute, Senior Executive on Criminal Justice Administration in 2006-2007. We studied together for one whole year so I know their good mature.
3pm I welcomed one of my cousins, Ms.Natthiya Kadpan (ณัฐฐิญา คัดพันธุ์) (former surname Youprom อยู่พร้อม) and her American boy-friend, Mr. Kenneth M.Kent from Nine Twenty Two Company Limited. They came to talk about a few products that they want to introduce to the Thai market cheap note-book computers; cheap 32 inch LCD TV; also a unique battery operated warning device to be attached to the diapers of babies that sounds an alarm if the baby stops breathing it is the size of the face of a wristwatch nothing else like it in the word. This same device can be used as a monitoring device on elderly people to warn of any problem they might have in breathing too. I have so many things to do at the moment so I am unable to help them other than give advice on how to market their products.
My father had many brothers and sisters, altogether there are around twenty. It was normal, years ago that in Thailand people had large families. One of my fathers brothers is Mr. Charoen Youprom (เจริญ อยู่พร้อม). Ms. Nathiya Kadpan (ณัฐฐิญา คัดพันธุ์) is the daughter of Uncle Charoen, I call him Uncle Hong (อาฮอง). When she graduated from Ramkhamhaeng University (มหาวิทยาลัยรามคำแหง) she worked at Balance International Connections Company Limited as an accountant in our office in Queen Sirikit Connections Center. She resigned to start her own printing business with her ex-husband, Police Senior Sergeant Major Worapol Kadpan (นายดาบตำรวจ วรพล คัดพันธุ์). They are separated and has an American boy-friend now.
The place where we both come from is a very small village on the Gulf of Thailand. When we came to Bangkok we were poor people and had to survive so we had to fight for our daily living and to get fame. When I was younger, some girls from my village were runners-up in the Miss Thailand competitions but could never get the first prize because they lacked education. One who did make it to the First Prize of being the most beautiful girl in Miss Thailand World, is the 1994-1995 winner, and the 1994 winner of Miss Personality, Ms.Patinya Thongsri (ปติญญา ทองศรี), or nicknamed Eve, who made all of my village feel so proud. Her mother worked in the school canteen in our village but was able to send her daughter to study at Chachoengsao Rajabhat Institute. She graduated and has gone on to do good things.
Maybe the reason why some people from our district have features different from other places is because of the history of our area. In 1888 the Thai government was forced to get rid of the Haw people, who had been driven out of China and relocated in Laos, Luang Pra Bang, and the former capital city of Laos.
Mr.M.Pavi (ม.ปาวี) of the French Consulate in Luang Pra Bang said the place had been ruined by the Thai forces so he took some land belonging to Thailand.
In 1893 Mr.M.Pavi (ม.ปาวี) was the French Ambassador to Thailand. He claimed that Vietnam belonged to France so any land that used to belong to Vietnam before Thailand took it and should become French land.
At the same time, France sent some warships to the Gulf of Thailand and came to the mouth of the Chao Praya River. The Thai navy fought back from the Thai fortresses and they were able to ruin the pilot boat that was leading the warships up the river.
The French wanted compensation from Thailand for the ruin of that leading pilot boat. Some parts of Thai land had to be given to them as well as a three million baht fine.
The French sent troops to chanthaburi Province, my fathers ancestors land, for the guarantee of the money. At that time, Thailand didnt have the power to stand up for fighting with the French and that is why we had to do as the French wanted.
Since then, my village, my district and my province has had French soldiers, officers, and Vietnamese and Cambodia, belonged to the French. There are some sad and some romantic stories from that area. Some French, Vietnamese and Cambodians didnt go back to their home countries but settled down in the district.
They inter-married with the locals and that is why the features of many of the people these days carry their genes. The French had taken people from other parts of the world and settled them in Chanthaburi Province too. The Chanthaburian people have known the Malagasian people, from Malagasy Republic, now known as The Republic of Madagascar, for one hundred and twenty years. That is also the reason why in Chanthaburi Province there is a very large Roman Catholic community.
The Thai government in the time of King Rama V(5) paid the three million baht compensation to the French Government so the French troops withdrew from Chanthaburi Province but settled in Trat Province, my mother, s ancestors land, the neighboring province and took with them Vietnamese and Cambodians. King Rama V(5) Government had to give them three Thai provinces land in exchange to get Trat Province back to its rightful owners.
The three provinces were: Siem Reap Province (เสียมเรียบ), which is ten thousand two hundred and ninety-nine square kilometers. Another province was Battambang (พระตะบอง) which is eleven thousand and seventy-two square kilometers. The third province was Sri Sophon (ศรีโสภณ), now called Banteay Meanchey (บันเตีย เมียนเจย), which I six thousand six hundred and seventy-nine square kilometers.
In the past, when the Thai King gave the land to the French, these three provinces were much larger than they are today. According to my knowledge, I believe that these provinces were later divided into other provinces such as City of Pailin (กรุงไพลิน), eight hundred and three square kilometers; Koh Kong (เกาะกง) Province, eleven thousand one hundred and sixty square kilometers.
If you total the land area you can see that the French were given forty thousand and thirteen square kilometers. When I look at the Republic of Singapore which is only seven hundred and four square kilometers it means that Thailand gave fifty six point eight times the size of Singapore to the French.
To finish off the day I went for a 2 hour traditional Thai massage.

This morning Ms.Warisara Kasemsri (วริศรา เกษมศรี) went to sign the 4 million baht (for million baht) contract with a governmental organization for exploring Westem Chins. Particularly Yunnan Province.
8am Mr.Garry Holmes and I worked on the plan for researching Yunan Province in Westem China. I love this job because it has been my dream for a long time to go and see Shangri La County which is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I want to meet ethnic Tibetan people who live in the high mountains of north-western Yannan. I have heard a lot about the UNESCO World Heritage Site called Lijiang.
In the year 2000 I took a vehicle from Bangkok to Chiang Rai, the most northern province in Thailand and crossed over to Laos. We drove up to the city of Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan. Then we drove to Dali, the historic center of the Nanzhao and Dali kingdoms.
In those days the roads were not were finished. From Thailand, throught Laos to southern China, the roads were just red soil and we had a lot of difficulties. Some wooden bridges were broken and we had take wood and stones to make our own way across some streams and brooks. Some places in the road were washed out and so we had to drive extremely carefully. We came across some accidents and took people to the Laotian hospital as a gesture of help.
The road in China was also undeveloped and we had to use four wheel drive to climb from one village to another. That is not how it is today. They have motor ways every where in China and travel is easier. In those days we had to walk slowly because of the altitude and the lack of oxygen.
I can remember the Chinese toilets in the villages were real challenge. They were usually just a hole in the group with two pieces of timber to stand on. When you had to have a dump you had to make sure you moved quickly as the water would splash up on you. There were no doors and the walls were short you could look at every one who was having dump. This was the same when I was in the Soviet Union public toilets in 1991. I believe things have changed nowadays.
One day went to have dinner in a village inn restaurant but suddenly, as I was looking at the vegetables on the table, I saw dark yellow stuff on the leaves. I asked someone what it was and they said it was shit from the country toilets. The gardeners use it on the vegetables as a fertilizer. Whoever had prepared the vegetables for eating hadnt washed them properly. From that day I never ate Chinese vegetables or food again I just ate boiled eggs and fruit.
In the year 2000 western-china wasnt wealthy, not like nowadays. Every night it was common for the inn staff to offer their services to sleep with a guest. But now that the economy has improved a lot there is on need for this type of service anymore. The same thing happened n Russia, as the economy grew and people were out of poverty such services have disappeared. If we want to see the same thing happen in Thailand we need to see solutions to poverty eradication so that our young women can maintain their dignity.
In the near future I will take staff of balance group of companies to explore Yunnan province and other areas of western china.

1pm whilst I was writing in my private library, Mr. Somchai Klinyu ( สมชาย กลิ่นอยู่), who is my uncle, the youngest brother of my mother, arrived unexpectedly in the library. We had a long talk about my youngest sisters wedding that is going to be in the morning on the 4th April 2008 at the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence. In the evening the celebration will be held at the Army Officers Club because my youngest sister is an army Lieutenant and works as a staff Officer in the Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense. This sister is exactly 20 years younger than me. She was born on the 1st January,1979.
My Uncle Somchai, (I call him after the Chinese style, Ku Chai กู๋ชาย) has had a very interesting life. He was born on the 19th February 1953, into a very poor family. I can remember when he studying in junior high school in the Trat Province, (he is only seven years older than me) that every morning and every evening he would be cutting banana leaves to fold and then sell to people in the markets before going to school so he could have some money for studying. Later he studied veterinary science in Bangkok.
After graduation he became a government official in Khlong Yai District in Trat Province where he met a beautiful school teacher who became his wife. Her name was, Ms.Nongnart Jampaeng (น้องนาถ แจ่มแจ้ง) and I called her, Kim Kong (กิ๋มคอง), which means Aunty Kong in the Chinese style. She was born on the 22nd August 1954.
They had two sons.
Mr. Wasin Klinyu (วสิน กลิ่นอยู่) whose nickname is Chop (ช้อฟ) born the 15th December 1979.
Mr. Kavil Klinyu (กาวิล กลิ่นอยู่) whose nickname is Champ (แชมป์) born the 31st December 1982.
This family was very happy. Ku Chai was a government veterinarian, and his wife, Kim Kong was a government school teacher. Her family owned a large, famous seafood restaurant. Everything seemed perfect.
Ku Chais duty was to check the meat every day in the local market. Sometimes a merchant would not have good quality meat so he would not pass their product. Sometimes they were angry with him.
Om the 11th May 1982, when Champ was only months old, they went to see my grandmother, Ms. Chun Klinyu (ชุน กลิ่นอยู่), at Ban Dongklang. (I was born there in Soi Dongklang1, Amphose Kaosaming. It is a very hilly road.)
On the way back to their home, just at the same instant my uncle put his foot on the brakes before a deep puddle of water on the road, and lent back into the driving seat, gun shots rang out. The weapon was a Kalashnikov Automatic Rifle (AK).
He survived with a small injury to his hand but my aunty was wounded by one of the bullets that passed
By him but passed through her chest area. Whoever the person was who was trying to kill them was not a professional as many bullets were fired but they went up into the air and some through the roof of the pickup.
Ku Chai rushed to the Trat Government Hospital but there was on doctor on duty. They waited for four hours before someone came but it was too late to save the life of Kong. It wasnt the bullet that killed her but the internal bleeding from the wound. She was telling him of her love for him in her dying breath.
Just two days before this incident, on the 9th May 1982, My aunt had said, Pi, I love you so much and if something happened to you I would die rather than it be you. That is what he told me when I was taking notes of this tragedy for our family history records.
He was worried about how to look after his 2 sons so he married the odder sister of his wife. Ms. Bang-earn Jamjaeng (บังเอิญ แจ่มแจ้ง) who was born on the 11th December 1947.
They have one son: Mr. Kamkab Klinyu (กำกับ กลิ่นอยู่) whose nickname is Chat (ชัช) born on the 4th December 1987. (all three boys were born in the month of December).
Actually, my uncles life was never happy again. When he was nearly fifty years old he reached the top position in his profession as a government vet. in Trat Province and resigned. He moved to Chang Island to stay on the land that he had bought many years ago-200 Rai of beautiful wooded land that has its own private beach area. Even here he has had a lot of suffering because a government official tried to force him to get off his land and when he didnt that official destroyed everything, house, and trees and so on. He was arrested and he fought for his rights. It took four years but the succeeded in wining because he was able to produce satellite photographs from many years ago proving that the land wasnt virgin forest-it was farmed land.
Now he is 53 years old and spends his time on Chang Island quietly waiting for his own life to end so he can join his first wife, the love of his life.
He rarely comes to Bangkok, and if he does, it is only to see me and my brothers and sisters. He will join us for the wedding at the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence but not for the celebration at night.

In the morning when I was working with my secretary in the gazebo a funny thing happened. A little bird jumped onto my shoulder and refused to fly away. At first I thought it hungry or sick but no, it just seemed to want to be with me. I took it into the house whilst I worked with Mr. Garry Holmes.
This little bird wouldnt leave me. It jumped onto Mr. Garrys hand while he was working on the computer and didnt fly off. It seemed to want to be with human beings, it had no fear in it at all. I dont know why birds in Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence feel so comfortable with humans. They dont appear to be scared and they dont fly off in fright when anyone comes near them. I watched a cat this morning just lying around as birds flittered here and there around it.
10am I welcomed my eldest son, Natipoom Navaratha (เนติภูมิ นวรัตน์), in the gazebo at the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence. My son come to get advice on doing business for Balance International Connection Company Limited. He is now the General Manager of this company.
I established this company in 1994 for doing business with Russian clients. The first office was at Queen Sirikit Convention Center in Bangkok. The business went well for a few years but my business partner, Ms. Tatiana Anatolyevan Himakovakaya, had to return to Russia, Another partner, who was a Russian diplomat from the Thai Russian Embassy, was transferred to Europe and passed away. I let the company cease business for some years and revived it in 2004.
As a father, I am really concerned with Natipooms future. When I consider his education, it is above average for a Thai boy who graduated Bachelor degree from the USA and his Master of Science in European Studies from Chulalongkorn University, which is the best institute in Thailand. In January this year, Assumption University wanted him to be a lecturer and later planned for him to do a PhD abroad. I was afraid that his mind would not be able to cope with the business world so I put him in this company and I hope that, in the future, he can be a successful businessman.
Natipoom was worried about my heavy schedule that takes a toll on my health these days. There are many countries for me to still visit such as, Libya, Nepal, Israel, Western China, Southern India, Russia from Moscow to Siberia, Costa Rica and Poland. I have to do these eight countries in two or three months. He suggested that I should make another team to spread the load of work and take the pressure off me.
3pm I did filming with Evgeny Borisovisch Belenky for my Open Lens o See the World. Today we were talking on Russian issues starting from the communist times until the present days.
6pm I welcomed Mr.Pisit Lasudia (พิสิษฐ์ ล้าสุดตา), he is a fishery businessman who now the biggest factory for processing fish, Thai Panga Fish, and now Sea International Frozen Products Company Limited. You can read all about his Company on his web site : http:// www.seaintnet/index.asp
This fish is a native to Tollesap Lake in Cambodia. Last year his processing factory in Chanthabuir exported over 1,000 million bath (one thousand million bath) or $31 million American dollars of Thai Panga fish. He has now spent over 200 million baht (two hundred million baht) or $6.4 million American dollars in making many fish ponds in Yang Talat District in Kalasin Province for growing this species of fish.
He want to make a documentary training film on Thai Panga Fish so he can spread this DVD to the farmers all over Thailand.
Mr.Warisara Kasemsri (วริศรา เกษมศรี) and I took him to have dinner at Pae Kamnan (ร้านแพกำนัน), my favourite restarant near the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence. While we were eating we listened to his story of the Thai Panga Fish business. We are convinced that this fish can be a new product for Thai fish farmers. He asked me to be the ambassador for Thai Panga Fish in Thailand.

The sounds of the birds singing outside my room woke me up early. When I looked out the window I saw two groups of people waiting for me. One group was the gardening team and the other was the team for repairing our water pipes to the three houses.
9.30 am I welcomed 2 guests from Chanthaburi, the world capital of gem stones, One was Mr. Nattanan Areechitranusorn (ณัฐนนท์ อารีจิตานุสรณ์), his nick name is Mr. Uan, and the other was Mr. Panatorn Chatuporntham (ปณธร จาตุพรธรรม), his nick name is Mr. Nu.
Mr.nu sold me some land on the banks of the chanthaburi river in 2003. it has the best view of the province. When you look form my land across the river you will see a huge range of mountains. I love this land when there is a full moon because I can see the mountains leaping high into the sky and the full moon reflections in the river. Every time I go to chanthaburi I love to visit this small piece of land and dream of a little wooden house where I can stay when Im old. Once I adventured up to the northern parts of the river and it took me back a thousand years. I could see rain forests and wild life that has been untouched but on some parts they are growing fruit durian, rambutan, mangosteen orchards. The most beautiful part is that when the rambutan fruit is a rich red colour which covers the whole orchard of trees.
When I adventured south of my land by boat on the river I could see the houses of the residents of chanthaburi on either side of me and within a few kilometers out of the city we reached the mangrove swamps and then into the gulf of Thailand. There are at least a hundred islands nestled in the gulf.
Mr.nu brought Mr. uan to meet me because Mr.uan wanted to help gather the gem factories and traders to have them advertise their jewels and gem stones on his web site. He knows that I am the vice
president of thai gem and jewelry manufacturers association (สมาคมผู้ผลิตอัญมณีและเครื่องประดับไทย) and I used to be the chairman of the sub committee solving the problems of gem manufacturers and trade in the parliament.
Mr. Uan used to work with Mr. don the web site called,www.thaigems.com and then split to start his own web site, www.gemandgem.com, in the few years he has lifted himself from rags to riches and later had problems with his own sister for the ownership of the web site. He split with her and wants to make a new web site. This time he wants it to be big and perfect.
Mr. Uan is a catholic but he believes in fortune tellers. He humbly and politely asked for the last 3 digits of my identity card and my birth date. I asked him why he wanted these. He shyly replied that he would take my details to a great, famous fortune teller in Bangkok to check if I am the right person to help him. In the afternoon he rang back and said that I was the right person and he invited me to join his new company. This is a funny thing because a human being will be a success or not should depend on his own deeds, not luck
Whilst I was talking with Mr. Uan and Mr. Nu there was a couple who arrived unexpectedly to the meeting room. Mr. Chao Sonman (เชาว์ สอนมั่น) and his wife, Ms. Pantira Tadeua (ภัณฑิรา ท่าเดื่อ). I want to put this in my diary to show the custom of Thailand that a person can arrive at nay place, at any time, without prior enquiry as to whether it is convenient. This man had put my name and my first sons name, Natipoom Navaratna (นิติภูมิ นวรัตน์) , to be the honorary Presidents for the building of a cremation building at a temple called Wat Coke Samrong (วัดโคกสำโรง) of Lopburi Province,
This means that I have to put some money in the white envelope to help for the building. In Thailand you can still see the most beautiful temples, even in the most rural areas, in every village. Those buildings are built from donations like this. We call these kinds of donations Tod pha pha (ทอดผ้าป่า) and Tod Kra Ton (ทอดกฐิน) This is what Mr. Chao had asked me to do Tod Pha Pha.
At noon my good friend Mr. Louw Burger, a South African white man, who now lives in Nigeria, came to see me. Before I took him for lunch at a country restaurant not far from Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence, we went to see the farmer plowing the rice paddy next to our place. When I tell people that I stay next to a rice paddy, nobody believes me. How can a mans house be near a rice paddy in Bangkok? But. The farmer next to us makes three crops a year from his land. When I first settled in this area they used to use buffalo to plow. I told people that I saw buffalo every morning. Nobody believed me but it was true.
On arrival at the restaurant there was a small group of young people who came up and introduced themselves to me. They were from MSS Cable TV Chachoengsao Province. They had recognized me when I got out of the car and were bold enough to come and ask if I would agree to be interviewed for the food of Chachoengsao. I agreed and so they filmed the interview immediately.
The lunch was followed by a lovely trip on a long tail boat up the small canal near the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence to a temple so he could see how the rural people live in this area even though it is still called Bangkok. There were people with large nets that they dip into the canal for fish, there were kids swimming, there were old women collecting shells from the bottom of the muddy river bed, and there were lazy dogs sleeping on the wooden landing platforms. It was something different to the concrete jungle of the city.
Mr. Louw Burger was born in South Africa and went to university to study law. He married Ms. Natinee Booncharone (ณัฐินี บุญเจริญ) . Ms. Warisara Kasemsri (วริศรา เกษมศรี) and I stayed with them in their home in Lagos, Nigeria when I was the head of the Thai Government Delegation to prepare for the Thai Prime Ministers visit to the President of Nigeria in 2005. We prepared everything for the Prime Ministers visit but his trip was cancelled at the last moment and upset the Nigerian side, particularly one of my closest friends who was the Nigerian Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mr. Louw Burger helped us and took us around the country side and introduced us to some of the Nigerian State Governors. His Thai wife and he are now very successful business people in Nigeria and their company is Thai Farm International Limited and are growing cassava. They are also building a processing factory as cassava must be processed within a couple of days or it ferments.
I spent quite a few hours in the evening checking the video footage I have from my trip to lran in 2004. There was hours of footage but it brought back fond memories of a very loving people who smile a lot. I have to do this because I was meant to be out of Thailand filming in Nepal and Libya and we needed footage for my Open Lens to See the World program on Channel 3. I was able to find enough footage that hadnt been shown before that will give me three weeks of programs.
When I finished the task of searching the tapes on Iran it was time for me to write my columns for the newspaper. I am still writing about Viktor Anatolyevich Bout ( ) the Americas Merchant of Death. Many people have rang me and said that if we have arrested the wrong person then they are sorry about that. They asked me to solve the problem for the sake of the nation.

I gat up at Ban Saen Beach Resort. This is where I have always gone to stay since 1985 every time I have pressure. It is only one hour from the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence. It is by the sea and a beautiful long beach to walk along. You can see the original Thai way of life on foreigners and modem buildings, just natural things and old Thai products to buy or eat. I bought kaolam (ข้าวหลาม) , sticky rice with palm sugar cooked in a bamboo log, for Mr. Garry Holmes.
Compared to Pattaya, you cant fine these sorts of things because Pattaya is modem and caters for the tourists whereas Ban San caters for Thais.
Ms. Warisara Kaemsri rang me for help as she needs to set 2 seminars on Investment in Pakistan, one in the northern part of Thailand and the other in the north-eastern part. I rang Professor Dr. Pongsak Angasit (พงษ์ศักดิ์ อังกสิทธิ์) , the Rector of Chiang Mai University, and he cordially agreed for the seminar to be held in the largest auditorium the campus.
I also called Professor Dr. Prakob Wirojchanakoot (ประจวบ วิโรจนกูฎ) , the Rector of Ubon Ratchathani University. He cordially agreed for the seminar to be held at his university. These two Rectors used to be members of the National Legislative Assembly and we were colleagues in the Parliament. In Thailand, if you want to do something quickly, in less than an hour, you need to know people!! And you need to have some common things with them in the past.
In these two cases, if you sent a letter, it could take months to get through the system, but, with one call the same same thing can be done instantly if the connections are strong.
This what I always tell my first son, Natipoom Navaratna (เนติภูมิ นวรัตน์) , that he needs to build connections by being a sociable man, his disadvantage is that he graduated from Hawaii, USA, where he spent almost 6 years of his teenage years and by the time he came back to Thailand he had very few friends. This is a problem that those who graduate from abroad have when they return to their homeland.
In the afternoon I had a visit from people from Tong Pha Phum District in Kanchanaburi Provicne for making some traditional Thai style huts from bamboo and the cut-offs from timber that has been sawn in a mill for the Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence. When I first saw Mr. Nop Usawatanakura (ณพ อุษาวัฒนากูร), 62 years old, I felt very familiar with him. He asked me, cant you remember me? then he explained that 25 years ago, in 1983, when I was twenty-three years old, I had one big hostel called, Youprom Womens Hostel in front of the Ramkhamhaeng University area and it was Mr. Nop who built it.
Today he looks very old but Mr. Nop was a very handsome man in those days. He left the city life to go and stay far from the city surrounded by mountains and a beautiful river. He has 200 (two hundred) Rai of land along the River Kwao Noi in Tong Pha Phum District. He earns money by making bamboo charcoal, making small huts, making furniture from bamboo, other knick-knacks and home-stays. This is a good example of someone who was successful in city life but relocated into the deep forest. He left everything behind and started all over again two kinds of life in one lifetime.
His first life in the city was successful. One of his daughters is now studying her doctorate degree in economics in Florida, USA.
His present wife, Ms. Vijitra Jutari (วิจิตรา จูธารี), is now the Deputy District Governor for Rotary in Thailand. She used to be the chairman of the Rotary Club of Tong Pha Phum.
Mr. Nop agreed to build three huts. Materials will be from cut-offs for one house, another will be bamboo and the third will be a mix of bamboo and cut-offs. He will also build a tree-house for me.
Another visitor was, Noppadol Ramanut (นภดล รามนัฎ), the Executive Director of Asia Consultants Company Limited and irrigation Engineering Company Limited, This is another man ho has two lives in one lifetime. He used to be senior official in the irrigation Department until he resigned so he could be free to do what he wants to do. After his resignation he has designed many big dams in this region of the world. He came to our Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence today for talks about making a house from bamboo and cut-offs from sawn timber. It isnt a money venture for him, it is just a hobby.
We have a guest staying in the residence, my best buddy, Evgeny Borisovich Belenky, he talked to me until nearly midnight about Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky ( ) who graduated from our Institute of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State University.
Mr. Zhirinovsky is now the leader of the Liberal Democratic party of Russia. He has the third largest party in the Russian Duma which makes him the Vice Speaker of the House. He spoke in the parliament the other day about Thailand Police arresting The Merchant of Death Viktor Anatolyevich Bout ( ) whom be believes is innocent and the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia is going to have a demonstration in front of the Thai Embassy in Moscow on the 28th March 2008. He has called for a reduction of the number of tourists coming to Thailand.
What Mr. Zhirinovsky is going to do worries me because tourism is one of Thailands main industries. Russians nowadays are high end users, not the backpackers. The total number of Russians who have come so far is about 300,000 (three hundred thousand) per year. I will give one example; Mr. Nop, who visited us this evening, told us the story of Taksin Herbs (ทักษิณ สมุนไพร) in Tong Pha Phum District. Every month they send 50,000 (fifty thousand) packs of herbs from the forest to Russian clients. Each pack costs 500B (five hundred Baht) this means they make 25,000,000B (twenty-five million Baht) per month. This incident will have a trickle affect on our economy as tourism supports millions of Thai businesses and people.
I am writing in my column in Thai Rath Daily Newspaper about what I know to be the truth about Viktor. This can help the police and the legal process understand from another point of view, not just the American accusations.
I was very sleepy when writing my columns because it was very late. I rang Ms. Warisara Kasemsri (วริศรา เกษมศรี) to call Mr. Pinyo Tummanont ( ภิญโญ ทุมมานนท์), the head of the department of co-operation for sending late columns Mr. Pinyo is the man responsible to collect the articles from all the columnists for Thai Rath Daily Newspaper (หนังสือพิมพ์ไทยรัฐ), to tell him that Im sorry that Im late in sending the articles.
When I was writing my column for the first five years I was very active and rarely submitted my work late. I went to many places to get my information from around the world. One day I received an invitation from Saddam Hussein government to go and join his birthday party at his home town.
Another example was when the Americans were bombing the Taliban and searching for Osama Bin Laden In Afghanistan in 2001 I was eager to see what was really going on so I went to the Khyber Pass in the border of Pakistan/Afghanistan to have talks with one of the leaders of the Taliban.
When there was a big demonstration against the Americans in Noshela Province, Pakistan, I was on the stage standing amongst the leaders of the protesters. Another example was when there was an earthquake in Taiwan and thousands of people died, I caught a plane immediately and went there I was able to get the visa quickly because of my connections with the Taiwan officials in Bangkok.
I have been to more than 60 (sixty) countries in the world and have worked really hard on my duty as a media person and as an advisor to different government departments and heads of departments. Some months I went to four or five countries so now at 48 (forty-eight) years old I feel weary these days. I want to go back to my ancestors occupations where I can stay in one place and cultivate the land with my bare hands.
I went to bed with the sound of a bird screeching as it was escaping the clutches of a local cat. The Balance Group Ladkrabang Residence is three Rai with lovely trees and three houses. Birds have decided to come and join us because of the trees so local cats have been coming to visit also and try their luck at getting a free meal. If you look on Google earth the Balance Group Residence in Ladkrabang shows no trees like it is now because the pictures were taken some years ago-when they update you will see how lovely the place is now.

11am Police Major Akarawut Limrat (อัครวุฒิ์ หลิมรัตน์) , an officer from the Special Crime Division, came to the resident to ask help for his niece, Ms Chomchanok Limrat (ชมชนก หลิมรัตน์), for entrance to Srinakharinwirot Demonstration School, Patumwan campus, once again I feel a little uneasy as I want students to gain entrance on merit and not by connections.
Police Major Akarawut (อัครวุฒิ์) was a pre-cadet batch 33 and a police cadet batch 49. I want him to have a good vision of the world for his work because he is concerned with foreign crimes. I like to invite him to com with me when I go to other countries. Five years ago I took him to lran.
It is interesting to note that Major Akarawut (อัครวุฒิ) was the officer in charge when Viktor, Anatolyevich Bout ( ) was arrested in Bangkok Viktor, he is the guy they call The Merchant of Death and suspected of supplying arms to the Taliban and Al Qaeda and of supplying huge arms shipments into various civil wars in Africa with his own private air fleet. At the moment Viktor is still in a Bangkok cell waiting for further developments in his case.
Last week my closest friend, Evgeny Borisovich Belenky, came to Bangkok and asked for help to tell the true story to the Thai public. Now the story of Viktor Bout is being published on the second page of the Thai Rath Daily Newspaper for 5 days.
Another strange thing was when I was writing my PhD thesis, The Evolution of Political Views and Policies of the Military Governments of Burma, 1962-1997 for the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State University, I didnt have a place to stay in Moscow so I rented a room off an old lady. Her address was house number 1, building number3, Tankovy Proezd Road. Lefortovo area in Moscow. While I was sitting in my room I could see the Institute where Viktor graduated from. In the Lefortovo area there are many military institutes; one of them is the Institute for Military Interpreters.
Many people have been coming to ask for my help for my help for getting their children into different schools But I came from a very poor family and when I was young I didnt have any connections so everything I have has come by merit and not by money/connections.
When I was young I suffered from those who had connections as I couldnt use that way. I had to leave the residence so that people couldnt find me so I went to write my columns at Ms. Warisara Kasemsris house where she stays with her grandmother.
While we were there we saw the TV and the Queen was being discharged from hospital after a couple of weeks of illness. Warisaras grandmother watched the news with tears as it was good news for us Thai people.
When I arrived back to the Balance Group Residence in Ladkrabang there was a man, Mr. Pradit Manisorn (ประดิษฐ์ มณีศร), waiting for me with his eldest son, Suppasek Udom (ศุภเษกข์ อุดม) (mothers surname). It was 11pm at night. This boy is only 11 years old but he has difficulties to get into the school of his choice-Suan Kularb Wittayalai (โรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัย)
The reason why this father and son came to me was because they had heard that I used to employ one of the past Directors of Suan Kularb Wittayalai, Mr. Samreng Nilpradit (สำเริง นิลประดิษฐ์), at Balance Tutor Moo. People believe that this man still has influence at that Suan Kularb Wittayalai School (โรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัย)
At this time of the year many people want help to get their kids into different schools and because they believe that I have connections with many places they seek my help.

I spent the whole writing articles for my newspaper columns. In the afternoon I went to have my haircut at Mahaman Hair Design in Soi 53 Ramkhamhaeng Road. I have been having my hair cut at this barber since1984 and I have never changed the shop.
The first barber of this shop was a Muslim but not a fanatic because he dyed his own hair brown. After 2 or 3 years of having my hair cut by him, he died. The second barber, also a Muslim, is one of the best but he another shop and let his elder brother, Mr.Sombat Mahaman (สมบัติ มะหะมาน), took over his job. This man takes a long time with each customer and most of the customers are famous people; Judges, Senators, members of Parliament, big businessmen, etc. everyone is equal and takes everybody on an as you come basis.
Some time ago he used o open cassette tapes on teaching Islamic beliefs. It meant that his clients had more knowledge about Islam and not far from his
Shop there was a school teaching new comers about Islam. Some of my knowledge about Islam comes from this shop.
Since 2005, the shop next to him has put a radio line connecting the two shops. This meant that the whole time the barber was listening to politics. This radio program turned a religious man to a political thinking man. The person who loved Thanksin became a person who hated Thaksin. The barber lost some clients because of the constant playing of the radio programs which were against the Thaksin regime and the PPP (Peoples Power Party) Nowadays I feel uneasy to have my hair cut there but he is the best man for cutting my hair just the way I like it.
6pm I gave s speech on the 4th floor of the Twin Towers Hotel to 91 companies that sell heavy earth moving equipment all over Thailand. I was invited by Construction Equipments and Parts Association of Thailand. The invitation had come from Mr. Viboon Laohapongchana (วิบูลย์ เลาหพงศ์ชนะ) , who is the Honorary Consulate for Bulgaria and chairman of Mr. Preechar Laohapongchana (นายปรีชา เลาหพงศ์ชนะ) , former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Commerce, whom I was an Adviser to.

Today was a home day at the Balance Group Ladkrabang residernce.
I had 4 groups com to the residence.
The first group were Mr.Kriensak Phu-Amorn (เกรียงศักดิ์ ภู่อมร) and his wife, Sutharat Tosujarittham (สุธารัตน์ โตสุจริตธรรม) and Second Lieutenant Kittitorn Yimcharoen (กิตติธร ยิ้มเจริญ). They came to talk about rubber plantations and palm oil tress. Mr.Kriensak is the president of Amorn Group which has more than 1,600 staff and about 56 branches all around Thailand. He has now bough many thousands of Rai of land for rubber plantations. They came to ask me to have a joint company for rubber and palm seedlings.
The second group were 4 tutors from Ramkhamheang University area. They came for help for their twin daughters to have a seat in Trium Udom Suksa Pattanakan Hight School. It is one of the most difficult schools to get into. This is not an easy thing for me to help in as my moral standing is that students must get in by ability not by connections.
The third group were two prominent Muslim leaders from Chachoengsao District, Mr.Rofig (รอฟิก ยูเต๊ะ) and Mr.Sanit Kunapornpanich (สนิท คุณาพรพาณิชย์). They asked for my help to get a road in their area where about 1,000 people live. The area is right on the border of Bangkok and Chachoengsao provinces. They had been to the Governor of Chachoengsao and to the Chief Administrator and nothing has happened for them so they came to ask my help for their people.
The fourth group were Captain Komn Vachirakant (คมน์ วชิรกานต์) Royal Thai Navy, Attach to Royal Thai Marine Corps, Colonel Nopchanok Vachirakant (นพชนก วชิรกานต์), Internal Auditor Section of Defense Energy Department, Ms.Natnicha Vachirakant (ณัฐณิชา วชิรกานต์) their daughter. They were accompanied by Colonel Pakamas Pansuwan (ผกามาศ ปานสุวรรณ), Attach to the Petroleum division of the Defense Energy Department. They came to say thanks for the scholarship that Assumption University, by my advice, gave to Ms.Natnicha Vachirakant to study Business Administration for 4 years.
